By John Wapa,

On Monday 21st October 2013 two trainee students Joe Raki and Shalon Gimana arrived from Kupiano Community College in the Abau District to join the KK Kingston Ltd Port Moresby Office for a 6 week practical job experience program.

Joe, a father of 4 children, was a very happy man aſter the job training. Joe commented that, “all tasks given to me each day were challenging and I have had the benefit of working through a number of different departments.”
Joe began with the accounts department, then joined the warehouse, followed by the service department, and ended his training with counter sales of the Kingston Industrial Division.
Shalon, a mother of 5 children, started her training with the Admin Department as a Receptionist. Sharon then moved to credit control where she was of great value to the team. Sharon finally ended her 6 week program with Kingston Industrial counter sales team, serving customer and building up her industrial product knowledge.

Sharon noted, “I am very proud, as is Joe, to have been selected to join the KK Kingston Team in Port Moresby for this 6 weeks training in industry. In fact we have both left letters of interest for employment after we have completed our studies.”

We know that both students were of great use during their period with the company. We hope they were able to learn a lot, and they will be missed. KK Kingston Limited wishes Joe and Sharon all the very best in the rest of their studies and future careers.
